Patricia Cornwell: Trace

Patricia Cornwell, Carpetta

Trace

I think I have read every Scarpetta book – I am pretty sure.  I don’t know what I did with all of them but this seems to be the only one on my bookshelf at the moment.

I started oddly enough reading this series in Japanese years ago, when my friend lend the first three books of the series.  It was so gripping, I then bought the fourth book in English, but the transition was smooth.  The Japanese translation was very good.

I’ve grown old with the characters -I’ve seen Kay Scarpetta through her troubles, her niece Lucy grow up and good old Marino always there to help.  Patricia Cornwell writes with a female perspective with attention to detail of the crime scenes yet also presents delicate descriptions of emotions which makes this series such a gripping read!
